Sorry I've been a bad poster this week, the migraine from hell has been sucking the life out of me. Editing and posting the installments of RLC is about as productive as I've been able to be.
BUT... A Subtle Breeze comes out next Monday, on the 7th, YAY! I have a free Adobe copy of it to give away, and since I'm lacking the energy to be creative about it, the contest is easy- just comment to/on this, doesn't have to be anything specific, a simple 'Hi' will do. Comment any time through Saturday. Sunday morning, I will have DH pick a name from his maimed coffee mug, and post the winner's name on the blog immediately thereafter. The winner will need to email me so I can send them the free copy on Monday;-)
Holy crap, I should have been able to explain that better. I'm blaming the migraine.

Release date for A Subtle Breeze
A slight whoops as I had mentioned the release date was June 1st and it's actually June 7th! Apparently, I need to wear my glasses more often.
Writing is going well, RL is frantic as usual. Frenetic? Well, either way, an 'f'-word will do ;-)
I'm thinking of running a contest on the blog for a free copy of A Subtle Breeze when it's released. Something simple, probably just have y'all leave a message then draw a name from those who posted. Seems uncomplicated enough for me to do. That will probably happen a day or two after the release date.
I hope y'all have a great weekend, have fun and be safe!

New Cover Art! Right there------>
Here's the cover art by the talented Lyn Taylor for my new book A Subtle Breeze, book 1 in the Southern Spirits series.
That cute guy in the black tank there? He's Zeke, and the good lookin' one in the white shirt is Brendon. The woman on the front is... well, she's a Southern Spirit, but beyond that, I won't say any more;-)
Hope y'all enjoy the gorgeous cover from Ms. Taylor as well as the story. A Subtle Breeze comes out June 1st.

Pffft.
I had planned a blog posting the links for the newly put up blurbs for the Southern Spirits series at TEB... wrote it, saved it, eventually posted it... looked great, except there were no links showing. Why? I've no idea; I used the link icon and all of that, then tried again. The links showed in my post until I slapped it up here.

This is the series blurb, which I messed up. How I managed that is a long, dull, and stoopid story, so we'll skip it, but I will get the blurb fixed. It should read as follows:
Southern Spirits

On the surface, McKinton, Texas seems like the stereotypical small town, USA. Smiling faces greet you everywhere you go, and people are quick to lend a helping hand. Most people, that is. Ezekiel Matthers and Brendon Shanahan are about to find out that sometimes all it takes is a subtle breeze to shift the winds of fate.
Ezekiel Matthers is a reclusive man, forcing himself into the exile of his ranch after a violent assault left him wounded. While the scars on the outside have faded, the damage inside is much harder to conquer. Zeke resigns himself to a solitary existence, aside from his sister Enessa and, of course, his mama's occasional visits.
Brendon Shanahan has a very meddling cousin, Gloria, who is best buds with Enessa Matthers. When the two women convince Brendon that he should hook-up with the reclusive Zeke, a plan is hatched that sets a series of events into motion - with potentially deadly consequences.
Can Ezekiel conquer his fears and accept what Brendon is offering? Or will Brendon walk away, giving up on the love he has waited for? And will the visits from Zeke's mama-- deceased for four years now--help the two men find their way to each other?
Only time will tell, and that may be the one thing the lovers don't have, because someone is out to destroy everything Zeke and Brendon hold dear - and this time, the bad guy just might succeed.
