Blog Special 2:
A Merry
Little Chase
(And
wouldn’t Chase have my head for that title!)
Sometimes,
though Chase wouldn’t admit it to anyone else, he kind of missed the old
Xxchange, with the smutty, bump and grinding, the loud, ear-splitting music,
and the scent of sex, cigarettes, and booze heavy in the air.
Only
sometimes, though. It was like a certain fantasy he had, that sounded good in
the fantasy, but the reality of it was something else.
Maybe. Maybe not. That was
the thing about fantasies, you didn’t always know if they’d rock so much for
real. Chase had had one in particular for a long time, but… Well. It was damned
scary, and hot, and he just didn’t know if he could ever—
“Hey babe,
you ready for the bar-b-cue?”
Chase felt
his face warm up with embarrassment. He didn’t turn to face Xav. Geez, here he
was thinking of something pretty raunchy and hot and they were about to go to a
party welcoming Chance and Rory home with their new son, Ethan. Chase gave his
dick a thump through the grey cargo shorts he wore.
“Got a
problem, there?” Xav asked in a voice that never failed to make Chase hard for
him.
Chase
glared over his shoulder at his husband. “Ass. You know that makes me all hot
and bothered when you get that growly-thing going on.”
Xav grinned
at him and walked over, stopping so close Chase could feel his body heat. He
shivered and craned his neck to look up at Xav.
“That’s
why I do it,” Xav admitted, cupping Chase’s chin. “Horny’s a damned good look
for you.”
Chase
couldn’t think of a single thing to say to that, which was fine since Xav
closed the distance between them. He kissed Chase, and though the angle was
awkward, the kiss was not. Xav mastered his mouth, knowing full well how it
drove Chase out of his mind to have his tongue sucked just so.
And when
Xav nipped his bottom lip, well, Chase definitely did not whimper. His voice just kind of caught funny in his throat, was
all.
“Sexy
fucker,” Xav rumbled, reaching down to cup Chase’s package. “Supposed to be
there in about half an hour.”
“I know.”
Oh hell, he didn’t whine, either. Chase bit his tongue and rocked into that
hand holding his dick. Damn, it felt good, especially when Xav did his growly
bit again and rutted against Chase’s ass.
“Mm. Too
bad we don’t have enough time for me to spread you out and have my way with
you.”
Chase
squeezed his eyes shut so tight he probably gave himself a few new wrinkles. He
concentrated really hard on not coming in his shorts. Damn it all, he had more
control than that. There was no way he was softening up under the comforting
shelter of Xav’s love.
Well, no
way he was admitting it.
“Billy,”
he began, reaching for something to keep himself in check with. “He’s—“
Xav
grunted and stopped trying to drive him completely insane with lust. “Yeah, he
ought to be here any minute now, him and Liam both. James and Glenn are coming
over, too. Swear to God, reminds me of women going in a flock to the restroom.
All of us heading out to Chance and Rory’s from here.”
“Not the
same thing at all,” Chase said firmly just as a knock sounded on the front
door. He glared down at his dick. “Maybe you should answer that, Xav. I need a
minute or two.”
“Anticipation,”
Xav purred in his ear. “Just think about what I’m going to do to you when we
get home tonight.” Xav left him to go answer the door.
Something
about the way he said it, or maybe it was the way he cupped Chase’s ass in his
hands and gave it a good squeeze—it just made Chase want to say fuck the party and
jump Xav instead.
He
wouldn’t, of course. They had friends—friends, which maybe for Xav was no
surprise, but that fact could still wallop him upside the head at times.
Anyway, people were counting on them to show up, and not just because Xav and
him were bringing the desserts.
They were,
however, awesome desserts, especially
since Charlene had helped them. There was a double apple pie, strawberry
cheesecake, lemon bars and a Mississippi mud pie. That last one was so sweet
and rich, made up of fudge and more chocolate and—
And,
Charlene had made her cookies. Chase just might not even eat any of the brisket
or ribs Justin and Evan were fixing. Although, Annabelle was doing the chicken
and potato salad, and if he didn’t eat any of those two, he just might get a
strip skinned off his hide. Annabelle could be fierce.
It’d taken
him a while to feel comfortable around her. There just hadn’t been many women
in Chase’s life, and he’d felt awkward and okay yeah, maybe intimidated. That
would go with him to the grave. Now he kinda liked the way they could pick at
each other.
Chase
heard Billy squeal with delight and could just picture the kid bouncing on his
toes before tackling Xav with his usual exuberance. It made Chase grin, but
then, Billy had that affect on everyone. Billy’s guy, Liam, fairly glowed every
time Billy got all happy.
There were
more voices, and Chase figured James was there, him and Glenn, that was. About
time, too. They were going to be late if they didn’t shake a leg.
****
“He’s
cute.” Xav watched Glenn take little Ethan and babble away like the man had no
pride. Babies did that to a guy, he guessed.
“He is,”
Chase agreed. He nibbled on his bottom lip just until he realized he was doing
it, then he stopped and instead glared at Xav. “What?”
Xav bit
back a grin. Something was on Chase’s mind and he was getting defensive. Xav
always looked forward to a little verbal combat with Chase. They both played
fair, though, no name calling or immature shit like that.
“You want
to tell me what’s got you all het up?”
Chase
narrowed those eyes and went still. He held a steady gaze on Xav, and Xav could
easily imagine many other people being intimidated. He wasn’t, though. He knew
Chase, knew the man’s heart.
Chase
dropped the attitude and rolled his neck, his attention seeming to go back to
the baby.
Xav
frowned and a new worry popped into his head. “You don’t—“ Well crap, that
probably wasn’t the best way to go about asking what he’d been about to ask.
Chase
turned a curious look his way. “I don’t what?”
Xav just
kept from gulping. He couldn’t think fast enough when the sun was making
Chase’s skin glow a beautiful golden color.
“Pie,” he blurted out. “You don’t want another piece, do you? Because I do. I think I’ll get me one.”
“Pie,” he blurted out. “You don’t want another piece, do you? Because I do. I think I’ll get me one.”
Chase
cocked a brow at him and snickered. “You suck at covering up, hon. Let’s go get
some pie, and you can tell me what you really wanted to say.”
Xav got an
arm on Chase’s shoulders and they left the back yard to go get pie. And talk.
The direct route was usually the best. He was usually just more tactful about
it.
“I kept
seeing you watch Ethan. Made me wonder…” He trailed off as they made their way
to the dining room. “Hey Max, Bo. Y’all leave us any pie?”
Bo winked
at him and Max turned red as a stop sign. Xav squinted. Was that whipped cream
on Max’s belt buckle?
“I don’t
even wanna know,” he muttered, stopping suddenly. Chase bounced off of him,
cursing.
“What the
fu—“
“I
accidentally got some of my whipped cream on Max,” Bo said as he leered kind of
comically.
“Bo!” Max
yelped.
“Is that code
for something else?” Chase asked, nudging Xav aside.
“No,” Bo
drawled, “It’s me saying I was eating a slice a pie and dripped some whipped
cream in a very, hmm,” Bo paused, rubbing his chin. “Well, I reckon you could
say it landed in a very incriminating spot.”
Max made a
strangled sound and Bo casually swiped the whipped cream up with one finger and
licked it clean. “Mmmm.”
“It’s like
a porno,” Chase mumbled, “Without the naked parts.”
Bo burst
out laughing and Max covered his face with his hands.
“Aw, come
on now. I told the truth.” Bo moved aside and behind him, on the buffet table,
was a plate with a half-eaten piece of pie on it. “I was given Max a bite,
because he has this little moan he makes when—“
“Bo!” Max
didn’t quite shout it, but it was a close thing.
Bo blinked
and tried an innocent look that only made him appear to be scheming. “What?
It’s true. You just appreciate good food so much, and it makes me want to take
you and the pie home and—“
Max
grabbed Bo by the hand and started them for the other door at a trot. Bo dug in
his heels only long enough to grab their dessert plate. “See ya, boys,” he
called as he left right on Max’s heels.
Chase
looked at Xav. “They seem…happy?”
Xav
snorted. “Yeah, and something else that starts with an ‘h’.”
“Well,
yeah.” Chase walked over to the desserts. “I wasn’t hungry since I pigged out
on the pies, but I think maybe I’ve got a little room left.”
Xav came
up to him and stroked Chase from shoulder to hip. “You want kids?” he asked,
just getting it out there.
Chase
cocked his head and glanced up at him out of one eye. “Why’d you ask that?”
Xav
couldn’t read Chase’s expression. He hated when that happened. “You were
watching Ethan like…Like, I don’t know.”
Chase
turned and faced him. There was definitely a glint of amusement in his eyes.
“Maybe I was watching him like he’s cute? ‘Cause he is, and I’m glad for Chance
and Rory, but just—No.” He shook his head.
“No?” Xav
wanted to make sure he was getting that answer to his question—or not.
Chase
sighed and turned his eyes towards the floor. “Look, maybe it makes me an awful
person, but I just can’t imagine having a kid. I watched them with Ethan, and
they’re so happy, it’s obvious the right decision for them. I was wondering how
I could think the kid was cute, and maybe even consider holding him, but not
liking the idea of having a kid myself, not at all.”
Xav almost
melted with relief. “Oh, okay.”
Chase
looked at him. “Okay? What’s okay?”
“The whole
not wanting kids thing,” Xav clarified.
Chase
shook his head. “I don’t want one, much less kids. I just think I want to spend
all my time loving you, you know?”
“I do
know,” Xav agreed as love made his chest tight. Sometimes he just felt so much,
he thought it was going to burst right out of him. “I feel the same way. Scared
me, a little, thinking maybe you wanted more than just me. I mean, I’d do it,
and I’d love any child we had, but I just…” Xav sighed and ran a hand through
his long black hair. “I mean, I pretty much raised Billy, even though he was a
teenager when I got him off the streets. Still satisfied any father urges I
might have had.”
Plus, it
hurt like a jagged-toothed beeotch when your kid moved off and had his own
life. Even if you were happy for them.
“So we’re
on the same page?” Chase asked. Xav nodded. Chase’s smile just about made Xav’s
knees weak. “Well, all right then. We never have talked about this stuff
before, but I’m glad we got it cleared up. I don’t want anyone but you, Xav.
Maybe I’m selfish, but I don’t want to share you.”
“I don’t
think you’re selfish at all,” Xav told him, touching his cheek. He loved the
way Chase was put together, all sharp angles and bristly. “There’s nothing
wrong with us wanting to wrap each other up like we do. Maybe some day that’ll
change, maybe it won’t. If you do ever change your mind—“
Chase was
already shaking his head. “Not happening. Some things you just know, and that’s
one of them for me. I’d never rule out helping kids however we can, because
there’s a lot of kids out there in the world that don’t have anyone to give a
damn about them, but I don’t want to do the parenting thing 24/7.”
“Me
either.” Xav moved closer and pulled Chase right up against him. “I’d rather be
doing you every chance I get. So many things I want to do to you, babe. So many
raunchy, sexy things.”
The images
flitting through his mind, along with the way Chase was watching him, those
beloved lips parted as Chase’s breath hitched… Xav was thinking the party was
about over for them.
“You want
me to,” he said, just barely whispering the words against Chase’s ear. “You’ve
waited, wondered.”
He knew
Chase understood what he was talking about when Chase began to tremble,
clenching his muscles repeatedly, his long fingers curling against Xav’s
biceps.
Xav slid
his hands down, pushing beneath the waistband of Chase’s cargo shorts. Chase
was wearing a jockstrap, which always made Xav want to bend him over the
nearest surface. “You know what this does to me.”
Chase
bobbed his head, just once. “I do. Wanted to drive you out of your mind. Get
you to anticipating, too. Make you…make you push.”
Xav’s cock
was so hard he couldn’t breath without it making his gut ache. “Make me push,
huh?” Seemed like he and Chase had the same thing in mind. Lots of times, they
fucked and made love, but other times, both he and Chase needed more.
“Yeah,”
Chase rasped, daring him with those pretty eyes.
Xav pushed
his hand further down and pressed two fingertips against Chase’s hole. Chase
didn’t look away, didn’t flinch. No, instead he clenched that little pucker,
teasing, asking, demanding.
Xav tapped
against it. At the same time, he bent just enough to drag his teeth over that
one spot on Chase’s neck that was plumb addictive. Chase shook and panted as
Xav sucked, bringing up a pretty mark. He kept his fingers right there, not pushing in, just making sure
Chase felt him.
Anticipation. Holy shit. Xav
thought it just might kill him.

Cynthia,
Why thank you, ma'am. I seem to remember peeps commenting on here that there was a certain act they thought Chase and Xav would do... :-)
