Naomi/ST started college yesterday, attending two classes a week on campus, and taking two online. I'm so proud of her! And I want her to get out and make friends, to enjoy being a young adult.
Today she had the most amazing experience-- she went to her art class, and had met a nice lady before that (because they'd both gone to the wrong class, and were hunting down the right one together). This lady noticed that Naomi didn't have the art supply kit the instructor had posted online that the students needed to buy. She saw that Naomi was writing down the items needed, because Naomi had some of them already but she didn't have even half of what was needed.
And this lady asked Naomi if she could buy Naomi the kit, because she believed in being kind and doing one act of kindness a week, one biggish act of kindness, because she tried to be kind every day.
There were some tears.
A few weeks before this, another kind lady told my mom that she was going to buy my mom's glasses after Mom had her eyes examined. Told her to pick out whatever pair she wanted.
There were tears then, too.
This kindness means so much. When I'm struggling, not because I regret leaving my marriage, because I definitely do not, but there's still mourning for the death of that relationship, for the betrayal and anger I feel. So some days, when I'm sitting in my room, wondering how I'm going to pay bills, or when I'll be able to buy a bed frame and a dresser, a car, or anything else for that matter, it's the kindness of strangers that I'm going to cling to.
So those are uplifting stories to share. More good stuff-- everyone's doing well here and seems happy. PNut is snuggled up with me, and it's chilly and raining outside. I love it!
I hope you all have a fabulous evening! <3

**huggz** <3 Bailey, all will work itself out and settle eventually. I'm glad to know that there are those near you that are kind and willing to help. I'm happy because you are. May many happy blessings come your way for life.
(((HUGS))) Sometimes kindness from strangers mean more than from family.
That is awesome
Some people are so kind while others are just mean. The pity is that the meanness tends to drowned out the kindness as kind people act quietly wanting no recognition while mean and nasty ones tend to shout it out as loud as they can. I wish your two good Samaritans all the best of luck in their own lives.
Glad to hear you all doing well.
I hope Naomi/ST does well in her classes and manages to make a few good friends.
Hugs to all.
These are the stories that get me through the day. Simple acts of kindness.
Shorty Chelle, ***huggz*** <3 It will, I just have to be patient. I won't say that sitting in my room, looking at the lack of furniture etc. doesn't make me depressed, but I only have to remember that I'm free, and I feel a lot better.
It certainly did on these occasions, Tess ***huggz*** Such kindness helped, so much.
Thank you, Margaret. You are so right about meanness drowning out kindness. The news exploits the bad all the time for ratings. I'd rather see more good news. ***huggz*** Naomi loves her classes! She's looking for a part time job, too. We shall see what happens. <3
Me, too, Pearl Ooi. And how are you?? <3
It is, Melinda! So good to be reminded of the kindness that people share every day.
Hi Bailey, wonderful to know that you are free and off to a great new adventure
Thank you so much, Pearl Ooi! <3
I can't adequately Express how happy I am for y'all. Being happy with yourself and where you are makes the hard times easier to get through. I speak from experience. Love y'all!!
